Professorship for Qualitative Methods of Social Research – Ruhr-Universität Bochum

Requisitos:
The future full professor will represent the subject of Qualitative Methods at the faculty’s Research Methods and Statistics section in research and teaching. She or he should have an excellent track record in research and teaching in at least one of the following areas:

1. Qualitative interviews (planning, conducting, and analysis, using content-analytic, reconstructive or interpretative methods)
2. Document analysis (e.g. using qualitative content analysis, grounded theory and other methods for the analysis of texts and images)
3. Epistemological and methodological questions

In addition, we welcome a focus in social science research with digital qualitative methods or prospective development opportunities towards digital qualitative methods, especially regarding the collection and analysis of internet-based content.

Other mandatory requirements include:

• Qualification for and deep commitment to academic teaching;
• Willingness to engage with interdisciplinary research and collaboration;
• Experience with securing projects with third-party funding;
• International visibility and network;
• Readiness to participate in academic administration.
