Requisitos:

Sociology Tenure-Track Instructor: 

Applicants must havedemonstrated expertise in teaching undergraduate courses in relevant areas. Werequire a candidate with a clear record of teaching effectiveness andengagement with students. Evidence of excellence in teaching should bedemonstrated via a teaching dossier (see below). The successful applicant willmaintain excellence in undergraduate teaching and learning; demonstrate andmaintain expertise in pedagogical practices informed by the current researchand scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL); and mentor students (includingsupervising students in the undergraduate Honours program).

In addition, thesuccessful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to departmental anduniversity service, and active engagement with the relevant scholarship to keepcurrent in SoTL and the discipline.

Sociology of HealthAssistant Professor:

The position requires aPhD in Sociology or a closely related field. All But Dissertation (ABD)applicants will be considered if the candidate is close to completion.

The candidate shoulddemonstrate a capacity for successfully securing research grants or otherfunding. The successful candidate will have a publishing record commensuratewith experience and a cleary articulated research trajectory planned.
