Requisitos:

In his or her research and teaching, the successful candidate will be a Political Scientist with a specialization in Political Sociology. In addition, he or she will have a substantial record of publications and teaching using quantitative research methods. A thematic research and teaching focus in the area of Political Sociology and evidence of publications based on the analysis of individual-level quantitative data (e.g., electoral studies, research on political attitudes or behaviour) are an essential requirement for the appointment to the position. Moreover, it is desirable for candidates to contribute actively to the work with doctoral fellows in the Bamberg Graduate School of Social Sciences (BAGSS) and to the further development of the Bamberg Centre for Empirical Studies (BACES).

The holder of the post is expected to contribute in ongoing programmes, especially the Bachelors and Masters degree programmes and participate in the development of new curricula. In addition, the successful candidate is also expected to be involved in contributing towards the internationalisation of the Faculty’s course offering, to support its international cooperation and exchange programmes and take on duties in the area of academic self-government. The ability to teach in English and German and a willingness to engage in the development of academic training programmes would be most welcome.

Applicants from abroad are particularly welcome. While proficiency inf the German language is generally required for an appointment to this position, in exceptional cases courses may be taught entirely in English for the first two years.
