Requisitos:

Applicants must have earned a Ph.D. degree in Political Science and must have a demonstrated exceptional record of excellence in research and teaching. We seek candidates whose research and teaching interests complement and deepen our existing departmental strengths. The successful candidate must specialize in Black or Afro-Caribbean thought and critical race theory with publications centered on black political thought and/or the creolization of the canon. Candidates must have lived experience related to Africa and its diaspora. We welcome applicants who examine religious and cultural dimensions of political life as part of their research.

Candidates must have an established international reputation, and will be expected to sustain and lead innovative and independent research at the highest international level and to maintain an outstanding, competitive, and externally funded research program. The successful candidate must provide evidence of research excellence as demonstrated by a record of sustained high-impact contributions and publications in leading, field-relevant, academic journals, presentations at significant conferences, leadership roles in professional organizations, and other noteworthy activities that contribute to the visibility and prominence of the discipline, as well as strong endorsements by referees of high standing.
