Requisitos:
Candidates must hold an earned Ph.D. in Sociology or a closely related field by the appointment date. In addition, the successful candidate must present evidence of:
excellence in teaching through a teaching dossier that outlines the teaching philosophy, teaching accomplishments, excellent pedagogical practice, sample syllabi and teaching evaluations;
currency in the teaching areas of research design especially qualitative methods, introductory sociology and popular culture;
demonstrated experience/capacity to be an effective and equity-oriented teachers of large undergraduate courses;
strong communication and expository skills and a demonstrated ability to supervise undergraduate and/or graduate students;
commitment to our values of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion as it pertains to service, teaching, and scholarly research or creative activities, including a demonstrated ability to make learning accessible and inclusive for a diverse student population; and
an ability to contribute to the life of the Department and the University through collegial service.
