Requisitos:

The University is looking for a researcher whose work explores systematically the area of sociology of technology and environmental sociology, with a particular emphasis on the intersections of both fields.

The postholder should have a proven record of outstanding research as evidenced by internationally and nationally excellent journal publications or with leading book publishers and a proven track record in successfully bidding for external funding in relevant research and/or policy areas.

Evidence of a profile as an externally recognised authority with an established national and emerging international reputation in the field of sociology of technology and environmental sociology.

Candidates should have experience in forging and conducting interdisciplinary research, particularly within the field of natural and technical sciences. Internationalization is a high priority for the BTU. It is desirable that candidates have an established track of international research and teaching experience.

It is expected, that candidates have appropriate experience in more than one of the abovementioned fields of research and are willing to participate in joint research projects with other departments of the faculty and the university and to continue current research activities of the department. Industrial experience is an advantage.

The chairholder is responsible for delivering advanced and introductory core and elective modules in German and English at Bachelor and Master level and as part of different Bachelor- and Master programs, with an emphasis on the Culture and Technology program.

It is expected that the modules delivered by the successful candidate will be eligible to students from other disciplines as well, particular students from the engineering and environmental sciences. It is desirable that the candidate contributes to the specific research focus areas of the University and possesses outstanding pedagogical and higher education teaching skills. Ability to work in a team and outstanding social skills are essential.
