Where may i leave my luggage in Tokyo? I am in Tokyo twice for a 12-14 hour layover, and I would like to leave the airport terminal & visit the city. Everyone uses them and I don't get what you indicate by leaving your luggage somewhere "more personal". The metro stations are protected sites with security cams and officers on duty - what exactly are you concerned about? I utilized them without the problems. The only lockers that are often in use will be the very large ones (approx. 117cm x 34cm x 57cm) and however I've never had problems find one not in use.
