Requisitos:

• This position requires a PhD degree in Social Sciences as well as further scientific achievements (Habilitation or equivalent). Excellent proficiency in English, communication skills, and the willingness to engage in continuous education in didactics are expected. Experience in applying the gender perspective in research and teaching is welcome. Teaching experience at a university and pedagogic-didactic suitability are expected. Non-German applicants should be prepared to learn the language and teach in German within a couple of years.

Comentarios: We are looking for candidates with a strong background in empirical research in the field of transformation of contem­porary societies from a sociological perspective. Applicants with research interests in areas such as social inequalities, welfare state, political economy, and expertise in agent- and institution-based cross-national comparative research are particularly welcome.

The successful applicant will teach undergraduate and graduate courses at the Department of Social Sciences and Bremen International Graduate School of Social Sciences (BIGSSS).
